Jon Jones declares interest in training with newly crowned UFC champion Khamzat Chimaev

While Jon Jones continues to prepare to make his UFC Comback, he stated in training with the newly crowned champion, Khamzat Chimaev.

Last Saturday at UFC 319, Khamzat Chimaev has successfully de -protected Drus Du Plessis in the main event to become the new middleweight champion.

Although there was concern about his cardio who went to the fight, Chimaev proved the doubters wrong by dominating Du Plessis for five rounds.

And only a few days away from the event, 'Borz' returned home where he received the welcome from a hero, where he hopes to make his first UFC title defense.

Jon Jones explains interest in training with Khamzat Chimaev

Prior to his first UFC title fight, Chimaev received glowing praise through the Greatest Fighter of all time, Jon Jones, who praised him for his 'character'.

Although he announced his official UFC retirement earlier this year, 'Bones' quickly returned to his word when Donald Trump announced that the UFC will organize an event in the White House next year that Jones wants.

After UFC 319 last Saturday, however, UFC boss Dana White claimed that it is a chance in a billion chance that Jones will compete on the map, which states that he does not trust Jones to put on the huge map.

The former UFC champion heavyweight responded to the news by stating that despite the claim of White, he is going to be preparing to compete at the 6 July event.

And with that Jones has declared his interest in training with Chimaev prior to his UFC referee, after seeing Chimaev training in a Jones T-shirt.

“Really recognizing Real, hope he will train with him for some time,” Jones stated in a message about his Instagram story.

It is clear that Chimaev could learn a lot in terms of striking as he would train with Jones, who is one of the greatest hunters in the history of sport.
