Jon Jones took a break from his rubber band on the Tom Aspinall fight to tackle his earlier comments on the Pound-for-Pond King of the UFC.
UFC Heavyweight Champion Jones and Interim title holder Tom Aspinall are still in a holding pattern, because the promotion continues to share vague answers about the state of their negotiations. Jones vs. Aspinall could possibly take place in September, because the summer slate of the UFC is almost completely full with selection frames.
Earlier this week, Jones raged UFC -Fans furiously when he proclaimed 'I'm Done' in a leaked conversation with another hunter during Facetime. Jones has since turned that position and UFC CEO Dana White remains adamant to have the Aspinall confrontation.
In the meantime, Jones will coach Nate Diaz on a Russian spin -off of the ultimate hunter opposite the former UFC -Superster Nate Diaz. While filming the show, Jones raised eyebrows when he labeled UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev as 'still young before the sport', who worsened many loyal fans of the pound-for-pound king.

Jon Jones deals with hard criticism of the assessment of Islam Makhakevet
While filming the show, Diaz and Jones spoke about the pound-for-pound no. 1 hunter of the UFC, when Diaz began to belittle the performance of the Dagestani in the Octagon. Jones answered an emerging hunter by labeling Makhachev, a leading -off comment about the annex of the UFC.
Many of the fans of Makhachevers hit Jones's Taunt on social media, Moreso Dan Diaz, while Diaz shares a long, checkered history with Dagestani -athletes. It was not long before Jones tackles the controversy.
During a recent interview with Red Corner MMA, Jones responded to Fan -Bunction about his comments about Makhachev.
“I feel that the comment I made, many people upset, made many fans of Islam upset,” Jones said. “But really what I tried to do was that I tried to translate for Nate into the Russians. Nate speaks in a very relaxed way, he speaks with a lot of jargon. If you are not American, it might be difficult to understand what he said.
“So I just tried to translate for Diaz. But at the same time I say that Islam is an emerging hunter, when it comes from me, I can say that.
“Not many people can say that, I can.”
Jones has repeatedly interviewed Khabibibibibibi Nurmagomedov and the status of Makhachev in recent years. Jones believes that Nurmagomedov's decision to run away from fighting after UFC 254 influences his case in the goat conversation.
Makhachev has the opportunity to add to his legacy when he fights for a second UFC title against UFC Welterweight champion Jack della Maddalena later this year. Maddalena defeated the teammate of Makhachev, Belal Muhammad, earlier this month on UFC 315.
Jon Jones Quells UFC Retirement fears in the middle of Tom Aspinall fighting uncertainty
After Jones van Koers had changed about retiring MMA, he and his team will draw their attention to negotiating with the UFC brassing for a comeback fight. Jones retained the UFC Heavyweight Championship by completing Stipe Miocic in November on UFC 309.
Aspinall defended the interim heavyweight title by finishing Curtis Blaydes on UFC 304 last year. He was Cageide on UFC 309 when Jones did not call him in the Octagon after his Beatdown of Miocic.
While the Jones vs. Aspinall Saga continues, fans are becoming increasingly impatient with all parties involved. Hopefully Vecht fans get the legendary heavyweight collision they deserve.
