Jon Jones fires up UFC fans with three-word response to potential Tom Aspinall showdown at The White House

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Jones may have a targeted date to reverse his retirement.

Jon Jones shocked the MMA world when he announced his abrupt retirement of Combat Sports last month after months of contract discussions with the UFC. While fans and experts started to lose hope in a potential Jones vs. Tom Aspinall Showdown, Jones picked up the speculation of a potential booking when he chose to hang the gloves.

Only a few weeks after he stopped his retirement, Jones reversed the course and hinted on a future return to the cage. The manager of Jones confirmed that the legendary hunter has reintroduced the UFC drug test pool to keep his options open.

After US President Donald Trump had announced an upcoming UFC event in the White House, many speculated that Jones would return to appear on the unprecedented map.

Trump sent shock waves around MMA when he threw that UFC CEO Dana White built an octagon on the Witte House Lawn and organized an event to commemorate the 250 -year anniversary of the Independence of the United States in 2026. The UFC gave a vague response to Trump's comments, revealing that more details would be quickly revealed.

Trump and Jones share a warm relationship because they had a spicy cageside chat after the most recent victory of Jones over Stipe Miocic on UFC 309. Trump is an avid UFC fan and invited in January.

After Aspinall was promoted to the undisputed heavyweight champion of the UFC after the retirement of Jones, many believed that the dream collision would never be realized. But in the light of the recent announcement of Trump, many speculated whether the fight was back on the table before 2026.

In a recent Instagram post, digital maker Acgraphixs placed an image of Jones who celebrated a knockout victory on Aspinall in the White House, with Trump and others seating day.

It was not long before Jones had knowledge, because he acknowledged the opportunity that the image became a reality.

“I like this,” Jones noted.

UFC fans became wild in response to Jones's remark.

“Let it happen goat,” wrote a fan.

“Finish the legacy!” said another.

“Kick his – go outside and eat fish and chips to rub it in.”

“Don't tell me that we will eventually get the fight!”

White recognized Trump's recent comments about a potential event in the White House and said, “I love it!” In response to the recent comeback plague of McGregor. Since a UFC Fight Night Headliner between Alistair Overeem and Jairzinho Rozen bush, the UFC has not organized an event in the American Capitol.

After Jones had reintroduced the UFC drug test pool, he must be in the swimming pool for at least six months before he is eligible to return to the competition. This sets its potential UFC return time line for January 2026 at the earliest.

In the meantime, Aspinall is expected to return later this year for his first title defense as an undisputed heavyweight champion. Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov are two potential names in the mix for the return of Aspinall.

If the UFC is serious about hosting an event in the White House, many top names can be seen on the map, including Jones and Aspinall. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States that win the independence of England, a Jones vs. Aspinall showdown add more fireworks to the celebrations of the fourth July.
