Jon Jones predicts hyped AFC Championship NFL game featuring two of Football’s top quarterbacks

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is keeping a close eye on what is being described as the NFL's 'Game of the Year' between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.

Jon Jones' brothers, Arthur and Chandler, were both standout NFL players during their careers. Arthur won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens, while Chandler was a defensive star for the New England Patriots, leading them to a Super Bowl 49 victory.

Despite having two NFL stars as brothers, Jon took a different route after high school by pursuing wrestling instead of football. He played as a lineman during a brief high school football career, but he received no offers to play college football.

Jones' decision to go all-in on combat sports has paid off immensely. He is arguably the greatest UFC fighter of all time after recent victories over Stipe Miocic, Ciryl Gane and UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier.

As he continues ongoing contract negotiations with the UFC to fight Tom Aspinall, Jones is enjoying American Football this weekend as he twice competes for a spot in Super Bowl 59.

Jon Jones lets his hometown preference influence his choice for the AFC Championship

In a recent Instagram post, Jones made his pick for the 2025 AFC Championship game.

'How's Bill's Mafia doing? This is the UFC Heavyweight Champion here, Jon “Bones” Jones, and I want to wish you all the luck in the world in the AFC Championship against the Kansas City Chiefs. Let's get it done. Bills Mafia all day,” Jones proclaimed.

Jones was born and raised in Rochester, New York before eventually leaving the state to train in wrestling and especially mixed martial arts.

If the Buffalo Bills reach the Super Bowl this year, it will be their first AFC Championship victory since 1994. The Bills lost four straight Super Bowl games in the 1990s to the Dallas Cowboys (twice), Washington Redskins and New York Giants.

This year's AFC Championship game features two of the NFL's best quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. Mahomes and the Chiefs are looking for a third straight Super Bowl victory.

The announcement of Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall could be coming soon after Super Bowl 59

After defeating Miocic in his first UFC heavyweight title defense at UFC 309, Jones is in active negotiations to face Aspinall in one of the biggest fights in heavyweight history. Aspinall, the UFC's interim heavyweight champion, has not competed since an interim title defense against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304.

Jones is one of the few all-time UFC greats to hold world titles across multiple divisions, joining Conor McGregor and Cormier. A win over Aspinall could potentially vault Jones higher in the rankings and surpass Islam Makhachev for the No. 1 spot.

Jones and millions of people around the world are expected to tune in for the dramatic conclusions of the 2024-2025 NFL season.
