It seems that Daniel Cormier Jon Jones knows well.
Jones, the UFC Heavyweight Champion, has long been a polarizing figure in mixed martial arts, both to elements of his fighting career and the controversial antics where he keeps away from the cage.
That trend has continued to this day, with constant anger about the reluctance of Jones to fight Tom Aspinall and to unite the heavyweight titles.
The dismissal of the Brit's Goat candidate has led Asinall to become the longest reigning interim champion in UFC history, an undesirable record that the highly regarded 32-year-old has left more than frustrated.
The discussion about the cause of Jones's attitude continues, but some recent comments may have revealed the true reason – and confirmed the theory of the most bitter rival of the champion.

Jon Jones admits that he would be 'destroyed' by a UFC loss as the uncertainty of Tom Aspinall grows
Jones's newest comments came during an appearance on Deepcut with Viclends.
Under many subjects, Jones teased potential exhibition fights away from the UFC, called his MMA Mount Rushmore and again focused on Colby Covington.
Regarding its Fighting Future, 'Bones' seemed to offer a context for his hesitation to compete again after his successful defending defense against Stipe Miocic in November 2024.
“I am so connected to winning, it is probably not even healthy,” Jones said. “I see hunters who take losses and they smile, they hug their wives and” more luck next time. “
“If I ever loses, I would be devastated. I would be angry, upset and depressed. That's just my winning character,” Jones added.
Daniel Cormier said that Jon Jones feared that the 'visual' of poorly beaten in the UFC
Interesting is that those words seem to confirm the theory set by Jones' TopV enemy.
During a video that was uploaded to his YouTube channel, Cormier said that Jones is not committed to fighting Aspinall because he is worried about a finish at someone's highlight Reel after he has avoided that fate for 30 battles for 17 years.
'I don't know [Jones] Has done someone like Aspinall, because Aspinall is so large and young, “Cormier said.” That may be his only hesitation.
“If I had to guess, I don't think Jon Jones is afraid of Tom Aspinall. The only thing that Jon Jones has avoided that none of us has that Visual is ready for him.
“Even the great Islam Makhachev was eliminated earlier. A visual has been eliminated by him. Jones has been able to avoid that for a very long time; fighters in the course of three generations.
“But there might be a man at the moment who gives him a little more than most.”
If that is the case, fans may have seen the former light heavyweight Kingpin coming into the cage for the last time, despite the reassurance of Dana White that the Aspinall fight will happen.
