The next fight by Khamzat Chimaev
Khamzat Chimaev showed his interest in a quick change immediately after UFC 319.
The 31-year-old hopes to defend his new belt at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi on October 25.
Dana White hinted that it could be Chimaev's potential return date during his press conference after the fight.
Only a few days later, competing in October looks very unlikely, because the top four middleweight contenders are all connected to fighting against each other.
Firstly, Nassourdine Imavov will fight against Caio Borralho on 6 September in the main event of UFC Paris.
On Monday White announced another huge middleweight battle between Reinier de Ridder and Anthony Hernandez, who will lead UFC Vancouver on October 18.
It seems very unlikely that one of the 185 pounds are four fit and ready to fight against Chimaev at the end of October.
