Little love remains between UFC rivals Jones and Daniel Cormier for eight years since their last fight.
Eight years ago that UFC legends Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier bumped into the Octagon for the last time, their rivalry of all time remains as heated as always. The tensions escalated after Jones announced his abrupt retirement of the UFC, to which Cormier responded by labeling a 'quitter' and reprimanding him because he was not fought against Tom Aspinall.
Jones and the UFC were in contract discussions for months to make the Aspinall fight flowering. Instead, Jones chose to hang the gloves and Aspinall was promoted to undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Jones has since taken a U-turn on his retirement and focuses on a return to the cage in 2026. In the meantime, things remain hostile between Jones and his double UFC title Foe.

Jon Jones/Daniel Cormier Feud Reignites After recent comments about UFC 318 Weegshow
During the UFC 318-way show, Cormier was asked if he could fight against his 'enemy' at any place, who he would fight and where if he had the chance.
“I want a bit of the ability to kill him, so I would like to do it at my home. They couldn't really do anything,” Cormier said.
Cormier was then put under pressure to whom he specifically referred by fellow guests Paul Felder and then Hellie. After Jones had been indirectly referred, Cormier clarified his attitude.
“I don't like Jon Jones, I think it's okay,” Cormier assured.
Despite the clarification of Cormier, it was not long before Jones noticed, while he went back to his dual UFC rival in a recent Instagram comment.
“Could you imagine that you will get your *** for the woman and the children for the third time?” Said Jones.
But Jones did not leave Cormier's comments from the hook, when he then changed social media platforms to hit the UFC Hall of Famer.
In a few recent tweets, Jones succeeded his original Instagram remark with more maliciousness.
“DC said he wants to kill me at his house. I have already buried him twice in the Octagon. The third time I bring a kick,” Jones said.
“A blind man can see the country house that I possess in Daniel's head. I just didn't realize how deep his hatred is still running. Those *** cooking must have left more than bruises, I feel that I am the most painful thing that has ever happened to the life of that man. Emotional damage.”
Cormier has not responded to Jones' recent Taunts from Social Media at the moment. The tweets arrived just when UFC 318 started in New Orleans, where Cormier served as the main analyst at the employment agency and an interviewer after the fight.
Jones got the last smile around Cormier in both UFC matchups and defeated Cormier by decision at UFC 182 before he hit him in their rematch at UFC 214. The knockout victory of Jones was later destroyed into a 'no competition' after Jones tested positive for a forbidden substance.
Cormier withdrew after fighting after a loss of heavyweight trilogy to steal Miocic on UFC 252. He entered the UFC Hall of Fame in 2022.
Jon Jones revealed who he wants to fight for targeted UFC -Comeback in the White House
In the midst of the resurrection of his poor blood with Cormier, Jones is back in the gym and the drug test pool of the UFC while he will be returning to the Octagon next year. Jones wants to fight at the planned UFC event in the White House in July 2026, which will be part of the 250 -year anniversary of the independence of the United States.
Jones wants to fight against whom the UFC holds heavyweight belt when he returns, which will be an Aspinall or another top candidate. Alex Pereira is another potential opponent when Pereira goes to heavyweight and wins another title.
Jones was able to compile a map with Conor McGregor while the Irish superstar focuses on his return to the Octagon after a five -year -old hiatus. McGregor raised eyebrows when he claimed that he was more than a year ago in the UFC drug test pool since his canceled comeback fight on UFC 303.
