In June, the heavyweight division of the UFC finally received a long -awaited clarity.
Dana White announced that Jon Jones had confirmed his retirement with the promotion, which means that Tom Aspinall was promoted to the undisputed champion.
'Bones' has certainly had the receiving side of much criticism lately, but that did not stop people from celebrating his remarkable career.
That was until Jones apparently reversed his decision by teasing his return after the announcement of the UFC that they will organize an event in the White House in 2026.
A new update shows that the former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion clearly intends to keep his word.

Jon Jones has submitted his first UFC drug test since he again introduced the Testpool in the U-turn pension
Dana White may have refused the involvement of Jon Jones during the White House event next year, but that does not seem to have derailed the plans of the former champion.
Jones apparently seemed to remain optimistic about his opportunities to return for the event by acknowledging that Independence Day is still a long way in 2026.
Another former UFC -Superster seems to follow a similar path, because he appears to be his own historical comeback for what would probably be the greatest MMA event of all time.
Conor McGregor submitted a drug test after he had re -introduced the test pool, which shows that 'The Notorious' is serious to finally go back to the Octagon.
Although it was already confirmed that Jones had also introduced the test pool, the newest update of the UFC anti-doping database shows that 'Bones' has joined 'The Notorious' when submitting a test.
The database was updated on 8 August at 9 am Pacific Daylight Time, which shows that Jones has submitted a test in the last seven days and has brought his total to three for the year.

Jon Jones recently claimed that he still feels like a UFC champion
Although Jon Jones has achieved so much in the Achthoek, there was a lot of criticism during his heavyweight title line.
That will certainly again be a talk point if 'bones' seems to be set up for a comeback, especially if he is not in line to face Tom Aspinall.
In a recent message on social media, Jones caused more conversation between fans by claiming that he still feels like a UFC champion, even after his retirement.
“Man, we should have stamped the champion forever,” wrote Jones on X. “After everything I have done so far in the UFC, I still wake up every morning with the champion of the world. That is a feeling that nobody can ever take it from me.”

When he was asked in an interview about whom he could be confronted, Jones said he would face who the heavyweight champion is at that time.
