Jorge Masvidal has named his six best UFC fighters of all time.
Jon Jones is widely regarded as the greatest MMA athlete in history, having dominated at light heavyweight for a decade before winning UFC gold at heavyweight in 2023.
Georges St-Pierre, Demetrious Johnson, Anderson Silva and Khabib Nurmagomedov are just some of the other legends often brought up as potential candidates for his crown.
Jorge Masvidal has now reduced his list to six. It features some prominent names and a few high-profile omissions that are sure to cause a stir among fans participating in the GOAT debate.

Jorge Masvidal narrows the GOAT debate to a list of six people
The former BMF champion was recently asked to name his top five fighters of all time, and he immediately uttered the name Jon Jones to cap off his number one ranking.
However, Jorge Masvidal insisted that Jose Aldo is a close second. The featherweight legend dominated for a decade at 145 pounds before being knocked out in 13 seconds by Conor McGregor nine years ago.
Ex-champs Demetrious Johnson, Dominick Cruz, Henry Cejudo and Amanda Nunes rounded out Masvidal's list of all-time greatest, which ultimately included six people.
“Jon Jones,” Masvidal said when asked to name the greatest fighters of all time during a recent appearance on The OG podcast.
“Jose Aldo. Jose Aldo should definitely be among them. When this guy was in the WEC and the UFC, he is the one guy who could have beaten them all but doesn't get enough credit.
“I mean, if there's a guy who could have beaten Jon Jones [to top spot]It's probably this guy, Jose Aldo. He's fought everyone in the UFC, no one takes him down and he's one of the best stand-up strikers ever.
“And he proved it over a long period of time at one of the most competitive weights in the world: 145 pounds. So I really don't think Aldo gets enough credit, but in his prime this was one of the best fighters on the planet.
“Jon Jones is definitely on the list. Demetrious Johnson is a different animal.
“'Mighty Mouse' can do it all. Doesn't get tired and has an unlimited battery.
“Dominick Cruz is another guy who doesn't get enough attention. He defended that belt more than anyone else still has, at another very competitive weight of 135 pounds. He just had his own style, no one did it as well as Dominick Cruz, so it was hard to prepare for him.
“Another all-time great player is Henry Cejudo, he's one of my all-time favorites.
“He beat 'DJ', that is [very impressive]. That was one hell of a fight. A very close fight, but a crazy fight. I thought Cejudo won a close fight and then he knocked out Cruz, that was crazy.
“I think if he hadn't taken this break he would have done a lot more in his career. But I also think Cejudo is one of those guys who could have beaten anyone on the right night because he could wrestle and had crazy strength.
“Amanda Nunes, scary, scary.”
Jorge Masvidal will return to the UFC in 2025
Jorge Masvidal retired from MMA after a fourth straight loss in April 2023.
He has since moved on to boxing and has gone 1-1 in fights with Joseph Benjamin and Nate Diaz, whom he defeated for the BMF title before being defeated in the ring by the UFC legend earlier this year.
Now he's set to return to the UFC after recently revealing his 2025 comeback date.
“I'll be back in the UFC next April,” Masvidal told Jake Shields.
“We don't have the opponent yet, hopefully we will have the opponent in December and the Miami card in April.”
