One of the biggest fighting in the UFC history has not happened, but you can never say in MMA.
Conor McGregor recently confirmed that fighting is not his most important priority at the moment and that he is happy with what he has achieved.
'The Notorious' has other passions that he now concentrates with McGregor who tends to a career in politics after his meeting with Donald Trump.
A colleague hunter who is also interested in exploring this career path is Jorge Masvidal who is also planning to return to the Octagon in the near future.
During the peak of the popularity of Masvidal, a fight against the greatest star in the history of sport would have been an easy homerun for the UFC.

Jorge Masvidal says he would accept a fight with Conor McGregor if there was a down payment
In 2019, Jorge Masvidal went from a favorite with fans to one of the biggest names in sport after one of the most remarkable years in UFC history.
'GameBred' stopped Darren to London, produced the fastest knockout in the UFC history against Ben Askren and concluded his campaign with a dominant victory over Nate Diaz to win the BMF belt.
Although he has won in his last four trips without a win since this run, Masvidal was the most discussed hunter in sport at a certain point.
Despite the fact that she did not fight in 2019, the return from Conor McGregor to the Octagon in January 2020 meant that both he and the BMF champion were active in the same weight class at the same time.
We haven't seen the fight then and it seems incredibly unlikely that we will see it now because of the current status of McGregor.
In a recent interview with Submission Radio, Masvidal gave a crucial term that should be him to seriously consider a matchup with 'The Mac'.
Given what happened between McGregor and Michael Chandler, Masvidal wants a little more safety that he is rewarded financially, whatever happens.
“That guy doesn't even know what day it is. I would not hold my breath when fighting this dwarf. Especially if he is confused in many things, he does not pull the tractor over. Look at the poor Michael Chandler. I don't want to be like a gofundme by Michael Chandler, just be chilling and waiting for me, h.
“If that fight was actually very tangible and something like that and she puts down a big A -Down payment in case this mother Midget Irish Effer withdraws, then yes, if he withdraws, I get my little down payment, whatever is good, it's all good, but if not, nobody waits for this guy.”
There are other major fights for Jorge Masvidal
Conor McGregor stepping foot in the Octagon seems to be out of reach at the moment, but it is not the only big fight there is for Jorge Masvidal.
Although there is nothing compared to a confrontation with 'The Notorious', both Masvidal and Nate Diaz are back to the UFC to cope with the head for a third time.
'GameBred' also has a long-running history with Leon Edwards who could be an option after losing his back-to-back.
Masvidal has not forced itself in MMA in MMA in two years and was now able to agree with some selection framework matchups when he returns despite his dip in shape.
