Barcelona works overtime to complete a contract agreement for Superstar Lamine Yamal.
The 17-year-old is firmly established as an important player for club and country, but his contract status has not been resolved.
Barcelona activated an option to expand his contract until 2026 back in the summer of 2023 after his first rise of the first team.
That agreement was based on rules for contracts of players under the age of 18 and the required requirements.
Lamine Yamal will be 18 in July and the situation will then be relaxed to sign any long -term contract that corresponds to all parties.
The deal in 2023 had agreed a second extension in practice, until 2030 – which would be automatically activated next summer.
However, since the deal was not formalized, it may remain in just over 12 months without a contract.
Lamine Yamal's agent Jorge Mendes sat down with Barcelona Club President Joan Laporta last week for new conversations in Lisbon.
However, according to reports from Diario, no agreement was reached, despite the fact that both parties remained confident about the player who resides in Barcelona until at least 2030.
Previous reports indicated that the contract could be longer with a five -year clause that was activated this summer.
His turnout could be reflected by Barcelona, making him the best earner of the club and also raises the bar for other contract extension interviews.
Barcelona is willing to meet the majority of Mendes' requirements, but they are wary of creating a situation similar to their previous ones with Lionel Messi, who collapsed the club in financial difficulty.
The situation can be solved in the summer, but Barcelona will have to make adjustments, with Robert Lewandowski their current salary leader – around € 33 million per year.
Lamine Yamal's current annual wage of € 2 million [including variables] could be increased by 15x, whereby Lewandowski also left his own as part of the pre -graduated deal with the Polish striker.
