Son Heung-Min could leave Tottenham Hotspur for Fenerbahce this summer with former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho who keeps an eye on a reunion with the South Korea star
Former Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho would like to set up a reunion with son Heung-Min in Turkey, it is said. Mourinho's Fenerbahce finished second in the Super Lig last season and want to strengthen as they strive for qualifying rounds and reach the competition phase of the Champions League.
One of those goals is South Korea forward son. Spurrs led to an extension in the contract of the 32-year-old in January, but his deal only runs until the summer of 2026 and the London club could cash in the right price.
There have been Saudi Pro League links, although Son has previously rejected an offer with a large money to move to the Gulf state. But now reports in Turkey suggest that Mourinho is ready to give the attacker a way out.
Fenerbahce is expected to separate from about £ 25 million if they want to land son. However, the player would be open to the switch.
Son played 70 times for Spurs under Mourinho, scored 29 goals and added 25 assists. He scored the first of his four Premier League-Hattricks among the Portuguese and scored four of the five goals of his team in a victory over Southampton in 2020.
Spurs have been busy at the start of the transfer window and completes permanent movements for Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel after successful loans. They also continue to be associated with Bryan Mbeumo, and a movement for the Cameroon Vooruit would be well pressed with attack.
They have also made a change in the Dugout, where Thomas Frank Ange Postecoglou replaces. Former Brentford -Baas Frank spoke for the first time since taking the lead with ClubMedia
“The feeling of being the new head coach is extraordinary, really overlooking this enormous challenge,” said Frank. “Together with many good people, only heard good things about the club, training ground, players, good team. Solid club, enormous potential. Just super, super excited.” They have done a very good process, Daniel Levy and Vinai [Venkatesham] And Johan Lange. I have had very good conversations with them where we discussed everything, details about the structure and processes of the club.
“Of course I came here to give my opinion about things and how I saw it, my ideas and the way I want to do things. The way I try to build a team. I am not only me, yes, the head coach is important, but if I don't have good people around me, it's impossible. If you want to achieve something big, you go together.”
