Josh Emmett breaks social media silence in first remarks since UFC Vegas 105 loss

UFC Vederweight Competent Josh Emmett addressed his fans after a decisive loss at UFC Vegas 105.

Josh Emmett did not see his age in UFC Vegas 105 Main Event on Saturday, giving the unbeaten Lerone Murphy a fight back and forth in the Octagon. But despite his impressive show, it wasn't enough to stop Murphy's unbeaten run.

Emmett fell on Murphy with a unanimous decision in the headliner of the UFC Vegas 105 and lost his third fight during his last four performances. Murphy remained undamaged in his UFC official period and knocks on the door of a potentially featherweight title shot.

Emmett's disappointing setback came after his mean knockout from Bryce Mitchell in his most recent performance.

Josh Emmett responds to pension speculation after UFC Vegas 105

The 40-year-old Emmett remains a dangerous matchup for the best contenders of the featherweight division, which goes the distance with Ilia Topuria and Vecht for the interim title at UFC 284. But after the loss of the upper Murphy, some more tread Tires remains.

Emmett turned out to be a challenging answer in his first public comments after UFC Vegas 105.

In a recent message to X, Emmett spoke to his supporters for the first time since Murphy loses.

“Big thanks to everyone in my camp and all my supporters,” Emmett started. “No damage recorded – ready for the best.

“I'll be back soon!”

Before his current losing Skid, Emmett was on a five-fog winning series of 2019-2022, and earned victories against people like Calvin Kattar, then Ige and Shane Burgos. The Knock outpartist seems determined to return to the Octagon later this year for at least one potential title run.

Emmett is a supporting pillar of featherweight since his promotion debut in May 2016. Wints about Ricardo Lamas, Scott Holtzman and Michael Johnson quickly put Emmett in the featherweight division map.

Lerone Murphy focuses on former title challenge after UFC Vegas 105

After having postponed Emmett at UFC Vegas 105, Murphy focused his eyes on moving a step closer to a featherweight title shot with his callout after the fight. During the post-fighting show on ESPN, Murphy called former title finer Brian Ortega for his next fight.

Ortega has not fought in September since a loss for Diego Lopes on UFC 306. After submitting the former interim title holder Yair Rodriguez last year, Ortega appeared on the CUSP of a potential title shot.

Emmett, Murphy and the other top featherweights all look at the belt after the announced title holiday of Topuria. In anticipation of UFC 314, Murphy is right on the door of challenging the winner of the main event.
