Josh Emmett survived rare 10-7 round against Ilia Topuria in last UFC main event

Nobody spent more time fighting Ilia Topuria than Josh Emmett.

A Finisher of the highest order, with Ko'ed Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski, the UFC champion Vederweight Topuria stopped two of his career opponents, Emmett the only hunter who saw the championship rounds with the Spaniard.

It was June 2023, Topuria's first five -round main event in Jacksonville, Florida. On 26, the #9-ranged Topuria had never confronted with an impressive force such as Emmett's, the former title-publisher with KO power in both hands.

Nevertheless, Ilia would beat Topuria Josh Emmett during his own game.

Josh Emmett is the only hunter who goes 5 rounds with Ilia Topuria

Emmett was completely heart for 25 minutes of action. Just like so many of his other fights, Emmett Topuria's head of the opening bell tried to get Topuria who took his time, using his movement to find his puncture.

The opening round was competitive between the feather weights, with Topuria grabbed the pace in round 2. Topuria pees Emmett with the puncture and fluctuated him against the cage. Topuria almost ended up again by the end of round 2.

Boded and bloody, Emmett held strong in the third round. The American was willing to eat shots to land their own own and to swell the eye of Topuria.

Ilia Topuria scored a score of '10 -7 ′ with dominating round

Emmett survived to see round 4 that nobody had ever seen with Topuria.

90 seconds to go into the round, Topuria took control with a colorful knockdown, after a painful Emmett to the mat. Topuria landed land and smashed with Emmett who took a lot of punishment while doing his best to return.

Once he was finished, Emmett continued to swing. Topuria used his aggression against him and went against a shot to put him down.

Topuria swarmed Emmett on the ground and hunted the finish with his strikes. Emmett tried to escape and covered as little as he could.

The bell sounded exactly when Topuria was fishing for an entry. Josh Emmett had survived another round, somehow able to see around 5 and the score cards of the jury members with his left eye almost completely closed and blood that ran over his face.

Judge Chris Lee let the fight scored 50-42 for Topuria and scored around 3 '10 -8 ′ ′ and round 4 '10 -7 ′ because of how unilateral it was for Topuria.

The two other jury members scored around 4 '10 -8 ′ with Eric Colón thinking that Emmett did enough to win round 1 against Topuria.

Josh Emmett was already known as one of the most feared knockout artists in the UFC, but from his care war with Ilia Topuria we can see that he also has one of the greatest hearts.

Emmett returns to the main event of UFC Vegas 105 opposite another undefeated competition in Lerone Murphy.

As far as Topuria is concerned, he will no longer be the UFC -Fedweight Champion from next month, giving his title for a lightweight movement.
