Arsenal is preparing for a busy window in the summer transfer prior to what could be a determining season for manager Mikel Arteta in the Premier League campaign 2025-26
Arsenal co-chairman Josh Kroenke has lifted the lid on the club's summer transfer plans and confirmed the news that every fan hoped. On Sunday, the Gunners confirmed all-but that they would finish second in the Premier League table for the third year in a row.
The side of Mikel Arteta could not push the final title winners Liverpool as far as they have pushed Manchester City in recent years, but have made progress in Europe. Arsenal reached the semi -final of the Champions League and defeated Real Madrid en route.
But the last four exit to Paris Saint-Germain showed how far the gunners still have to go, because their drought from the trophy was extended to five years. The team of Arteta has plagued the team for a large part of the campaign, with the absence of Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz in particular worsening their need for a striker.
Arsenal chose to sign a new center Vooruit in January, but the summer will be different, as co-chairman Kroenke De Schemereered in his program notes prior to De Gruizige 1-0 win against Newcastle. “We want to win it all,” said the Chief Gunners about their Premier League ambitions.
“We are planning to invest to go behind and do better the next season. We are happy that we have our sports director, Andrea [Berta]who will play an important role in this.
“He is part of a united and strong team, supported by the board, which are crystal clear on exactly what we have to do and the way we want to do it. The right way. The Arsenal manner.
“In the end we all want the same thing. We are just as hungry for success as you and that applies to everyone who works for the club.”
Koenke's explanation that 'Arsenal plan to invest' supporters will delight, but now it is up to the hierarchy to deliver, as Arteta referred to Sunday's victory that has secured Champions League football next season. “End the season, go to the beach, enjoy a few days and make sure those above them do what they have to do,” the Gunners told Sky Sports.

Asked in his press conference if he supported the club's board, Arteta replied: “Yes, but that is not something new. They have always supported the team, the club in the best possible way. They will not be different in the summer.
“We have to be very smart with the decisions we make. Of course we need players because the team is really short and moreover we lose four or five players who will end their contracts and their loans are completed.
“We must be sharp, very disciplined in what we want to do and ensure that we are stronger next season. I mean, the plan has been done and the time will be determined by many parties, many circumstances that we unfortunately do not check.
“But we have great people about that, and they will lead that with the board and the property. And also make sure that those we have, they feel appreciated, they feel loved and we ensure that they want to continue with us in the right way.
“And then the whole environment is excited. That is not only about when we make it, because we can't start such a season. And I want to feel that from the first day, and I am very up to that.”
