Joshua Kimmich explains reasoning behind disallowed RB Leipzig goal

There was a rather curious scene during the 6-0 victory of Bayern Munich over RB Leipzig on Friday evening.

Antonio Nusa van Leipzig thought he had gave a goal in the 66th minute. About five full minutes after the goal, however, match official Florian Badstübner ruled that it should not count. The Linesman of Badstübner drawn attention to the fact that a free kick was wrongly taken by Leipzig's Castello Lukeba.

Joshua Kimmich from Bayern immediately noticed this. As the highest ranking outfielder in the Bayern Leadership Council (Vice -Captain of keeper Manuel Neuer), it was Kimmich's responsibility to bring the matter to the attention of Badstübner. Kimmich was nevertheless booked for different opinions in the 68th minute. The goal was ultimately not allowed in the 71st minutes after both teams had made replacements and Badstübner was forced to take another look.

'I complained about it because I noticed he [Lukeba] I just started dribbling, “Kimmich explained in the Sky Germany Sports Desk after the game, and also noticed:” I would probably have given myself a yellow card because I was very stubborn about it

“To be honest, I have never seen anyone start dribbling a free kick.” Kimmich went on. “That would be a very interesting control change. I'm glad he [Badstübner] Had the courage to turn his decision. “
