Joshua van has given his coaches the honor for transforming him into a record -breaking striker in his first few years in the UFC.
After his victory over Edgar chairs at UFC 306, Joshua confirmed himself as the best striker in the UFC history.
According to UFC records, no hunter with five or more UFC fights has landed a higher average strikes per minute, so that it is ranked above even dominant UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall.
With an average of 8.20 strikes per minute, the dangerous and efficient van has been one of the most exciting hunters in the world while preparing for UFC 317.

Joshua van shouted his coaches for his incredibly striking records
Of the incredible striking record is all due to muscle memory, and he thanked his team for the training that brought him to a place to dominate in the Octagon.
The 23-year-old spoke with ESPN MMA in the construction of UFC 317, where he admitted that his Jiu-Jitsu coaches did not know any comboes, so he just learned to prick instead.
Van said: “Shout at my coaches, man. You know, even the Jiu-Jitsu boys. You saw that my puncture was on my last fight because of him.
“He doesn't know any comboes, so the only thing we did was prick and things like that. So when it comes to fighting, it's just muscle memory, you know?”
Van has a higher record of strikes per minute than UFC Heavyweight Champion Aspinall, which has managed 8.07 to Van's 8.20.
Joshua van took a short-note fight to record Brandon Royval on UFC 317
Van is one of the busiest men in MMA today while he took a fight in the short term to compete at UFC 317.
The Burmese-American hunter last participated in the UFC 316, where he defeated Bruno Silva only a few months after beating Rei Tsuruya on UFC 313.
He took the fight against Brandon Royval only a few weeks after his last fight in a very short term, after Manel Kape broke his foot in the training.
With a record of 7-1 so far in the UFC, this will certainly be the biggest challenge of Van Van so far.
If he can pass Royval, there can be a title shot for “The Fearless” in the future.
