Joshua Zirkzee has joined Rasmus Hojlund when you like a social media post in which it is confirmed that Benjamin Sesko is ready to complete a transfer of big money to Manchester United in particular.
The Red Devils have already considerably strengthened their attack by completing deals for Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo this summer. And it arose at the end of last month that United Sesko had identified as their primary no 9 -purpose white prior to the new Premier League season.
Sesko, 22, has not had a shortage of voorags this summer, with Arsenal and Newcastle also admirers of the Slovenia International.
But United has won the race for Sesko's signature after he agreed a deal that is simply shy of £ 73 million including add-ons for the RB Leipzig-Man.
The news of the aforementioned agreement broke with Sesko on Thursday afternoon to complete his move for the weekend. And some of his new teammates have already responded to the news.
Fans with eagle eyes saw that Hojlund would have liked a social media post in which it was confirmed that Sesko was on his way to Old Trafford. And since then it has emerged that Zirkzee has followed the example.
Both players struggled for goals last season, hence United's offer to add more firepower to their team in the summer transfer window.
In total, United only registered 44 goals in the Premier League for 38 games when they recorded their lowest finish ever in 15th place. Only Everton and the three relegated teams – Southampton, Ipswich Town and Leicester – scored less.
The aim of Manchester United on Sesko has fueled speculation that Hojlund could be sold. But the Dane insisted that he wanted to stay and fight for his place in the team during the recent pre-season tour of the club.
“I think my plan is very clear and that is for me to keep fighting for my place, whatever happens,” he said. “I am still very young. I think people sometimes forget that. I am only 22. Of course, not every striker at the age of 22 scores 100 goals (such as Erling Haaland).
“But I learned a lot, I think you can see in my game. I am starting to develop and get even better in the base. Now it is almost for me to grind myself and I have done it very well in the preseason so far. Just concentrate on continuing that.
“The competition is fine for me. It sharpened me. I am more than ready. I feel sharp, so I welcome everything that comes. I think it is good with the competition and it just sharpenes the team.”
