‘Joshua’s in tatters’… Tyson Fury dismisses the idea of an all-British clash against Anthony Joshua

Ahead of his undisputed heavyweight title fight rematch against Oleksandr Usyk next Saturday, Tyson Fury has dismissed the potential of a fight against Anthony Joshua afterward.

After their classic clash last May, which ended in a split decision, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk knew they were ready for an incredible rematch.

Tyson Fury has dismissed the idea of a clash against his fellow Briton

The heavyweight division may be in one of the best places it's ever been right now, with several fighters at the top of their game.

However, one person who is struggling to regain his previous form is Anthony Joshua. The former champion was crushed by Daniel Dubois earlier this year, halting any plans for a major clash between him and 'The Gypsy King'.

A clash between Britain's two most popular heavyweights has been called for by fans for years, and at one point it seemed almost guaranteed to happen.

However, ahead of his rematch against the Ukrainian, Fury has admitted he has no interest in a fight against Joshua, stating the two are on different paths. Instead, he believes that if he beats Usyk on Saturday night, a trilogy will be booked immediately.

“Yes, I think there will be a trilogy. “If I win on Saturday night, I think there should definitely be a trilogy next year,” he told Al Arabiya.

'Joshua is currently in turmoil. He must pick up the pieces from his last battle. But the fight with Usyk – one on Saturday and one after that would be fantastic for me,” he admitted.

Although fans clamored for 'AJ' to retire after his brutal loss to Dubois, the 35-year-old made it clear he would not retire as it was unclear who his next opponent could be.

Tyson Fury hasn't contacted his wife in three months during fight camp

After claiming he would end the undisputed champion's career on Saturday night, 'The Gypsy King' went on to explain that he has not contacted his wife Paris in three months.

Fury has been heavily criticized in the past for not properly preparing for his fights, especially when he fought former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou last year.

The Brit is hopeful that winning the undisputed heavyweight title will be enough of a gift for his family over the Christmas holidays, but if he wins he could be called back to action shortly afterwards.
