Jude Bellingham fires warning to Arsenal after Real Madrid thrashing

Arsenal defeated Real Madrid 3-0 in the first stage of their Champions League quarterfinals, but Jude Bellingham remains convinced that the title defender can get a huge comeback

Jude Bellingham has warned Arsenal that “everything can happen in the Bernabeu” after Real Madrid was struck by the Gunners in the first stage of their quarter -final collision of the Champions League. Declan Rice scored two excellent free kicks, while Mikel Merino shot in a third to give Arsenal a 3-0 advantage that will go in Madrid next week in Madrid.

The side of Carlo Ancelotti placed in a matte view and only a large number of large rescues from Thibaut Courtois ensured that they no longer admitted goals. And Bellingham has acknowledged that Madrid was “nowhere in the neighborhood” and needs a “really special” version in the second stage. However, he shot a warning to Arsenal as he emphasized Madrid's League-Steam tree, with the 15-time winners having a history of producing dramatic comebacks.

“We were nowhere in the neighborhood,” Bellingham told Amazon Prime. “That is the fact and Arsenal was really good. I know that two of their goals were free kicks, but they could have had much more.

“There is a second stage and that is what we hold. We need something very special, something crazy, but one place where crazy things happen is our house. 90 more minutes at home to pull something out of the bag.

“They are two great pieces of individual quality and if they were not there, they still have different opportunities. We are punished and that happens at the highest level at the highest level. In these games you have to create more.

“Very rarely do you get one goal in a place like this score and take your lead back home. They responded very well to the transition. We have not done enough on the ball to threaten. We still live, we have 90 minutes of football and everything can happen at the Bernabeu.”

And when Ancelotti was told that Madrid never came back from a shortage of three goals to win a knockout from the Champions League, the Italian promised: “There is always a first time, you have to try. The comeback starts tonight.”

Gunners -Baas Mikel Arteta also remains on their care for a potential comeback. “You have to keep taking steps, and tonight we won in the right direction,” he said in his press conference after the game. “Now it's the peace, and now we have to go to the Bernabeu and we have to raise the level again to be the team we want to be there, and to prepare the game to win it.

“I am very proud, we had a very complete and great achievements together and you need that in the organization and what we had to do to dominate the game and create Madrid problems.

“This night is about both factors, one is the atmosphere that we have made 15 minutes before the kick -off is something I have never seen before, so playing with that energy, with that dedication with your crowd makes a huge difference.

“And then magical moments, individual moments that determine all competitions and the first two goals of Declan summarize the night.”
