Jude Bellingham returns from luxury retreat for injury comeback

In Montego Bay, on the west coast of Jamaica, Jude Bellingham found the perfect setting for recovery.

In the Half Moon, a luxury resort of 400 hectares with pine forests and private beaches, he was accompanied by more than a dozen family members for a quiet escape far from Madrid's noise and summer heat.

Real Madrid granted the English midfielder a few extra days of rest, allowing him to return to Valdebebas last Thursday. On July 16, just a week after the exit of the World Cup club, Bellingham underwent surgery on his damaged shoulder. The procedure was delicate and will come next to each other at least at the end of October.

Rest is crucial in the early stages. Nevertheless, Bellingham shared social media reports with not only snapshots of his free time, but also clips of him who worked on the shoulder with resistance bands, shudder in visible pain. It is a slow process, but one progresses as expected.

His vacation updates have painted a clear picture: Reggae classics from Bob Marley who play in the background, unspoilt Caribbean backgrounds and his whole family by his side. It was a journey to charge in every way.

Madrid hopes for the same player who illuminated his debut season and justifies the reimbursement of € 100 million he paid to Borussia Dortmund. In 2023–24 he scored 23 goals in 42 games with the Spanish giants.

However, a shoulder disocation against Rayo Vallecano in November continued to vent him despite playing pain, logging more than 100 games with heavy straps before he finally opts for an operation.

Now, with his time in Jamaica behind him, the club and new head coach Xabi Alonso count down the weeks until the best version of Jude Bellingham returns.
