The England midfielder rediscovered his best form with four goals and a pair of assists in December.
Unlike last year, when Jude Bellingham went from strength to strength during his debut season at Real Madrid, this season has been much more difficult for him. He missed four games at the start of LaLiga due to a muscle injury and since his return at the end of September he has been trying to rebuild his rhythm.
He has gradually regained his old form, scoring in six consecutive games and once again playing a key role for Ancelotti's team in the battle for top spot with Barcelona and Atlético.
Bellingham scored again with regularity
His excellent performances over the past month – with goals against Getafe, Athletic, Girona and Rayo – have earned him LaLiga's Player of the Month award for December – an award he won twice last season. It caps off a productive week for the England international, who was also recognized in Dubai on Friday, taking home both the Best Midfielder award and the Maradona Award at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony.
In addition to winning individual awards, Jude added to his own honors in 2024 by collecting five winners' medals. He has also cemented his place as a reference in Ancelotti's first-choice XI, forging an understanding with Vinicius and Mbappe beforehand.
Bellingham shines again in LaLiga
With his Best Player of the Month award for December in LaLiga EA Sports with Real Madrid, Bellingham has now won the award three times.
He is only 21 years old but is already one of the key figures in Spanish football, which is even more impressive when you consider that he is a foreign player.
Next up for Jude and Madrid is a trip to Mestalla, where they face struggling Valencia on Friday.
