Liverpool sees more firepower this summer and is now encouraged to go after Julian Alvarez by former star Didi Hamann – with Darwin Nunez who is part of the deal for the Atletico Madrid Star
Liverpool separates ways with Darwin Nunez to land Atletico Madrid -star Julian Alvarez, is a Swap -deal that would “be a lot of sense” -according to the former Star Dietmar Hamann.
The Premier League champions have so far been ambitious and fast this summer with their recruitment and have now been encouraged to go after the World Cup striker from Atletico Madrid, who only left Manchester City a year ago. Since then he excelled in La Liga.
Alvarez scored 29 times for the Atletico side of Diego Simeone, but is linked to a return to England. Hamann insists that taking a Swap deal in which NUNEZ is involved, which is surplus for the requirements at Anfield, would suit all parties.
Nunez continues to struggle for minutes and goals in Liverpool. He remains the most expensive player of the club ever, at least for the time being, but has difficulty delivering his transfer costs in the past three seasons.
Now Hamann has said to Wette.de: “I would like to see Julian Alvarez in Liverpool and I think Darwin Nunez is part of the deal very logical. I think Nunez is tailor -made for Atletico Madrid as a physical center ahead, someone who will work so hard what Diego Simeone wants.
“Alvarez would also be a fantastic addition in Liverpool, he played in the shadow of Erling Haaland in Manchester City, but really added his reputation in Madrid. He led the line, scored goals and made life nuisance for the back lines he played against, I think he would be a brilliant signature.
“There are rumors about other attackers, but Alvarez would be a great addition to Liverpool and Nunez is perhaps an increasingly better signature for Atletico.”
Alvarez has previously been a hit in the Premier League and impressed during his two years in Manchester. He scored 36 times in both years despite playing the second violin to Erling. However, the player himself has expressed little wish to leave the Spanish capital.
Atletico Club -President Enrique Cerezo also stated: “Julian Alvarez is a player of Atletico de Madrid. He is very happy here, he is our player and he will remain our player. He grew up in Atletico Madrid and he will die at Athletico Madrid.”
Liverpool is linked to a new striker while they close to the signing sessions of Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez. Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt has been advertised another man with a move to Anfield, although there is an increasing interest in him from other Premier League parties.
