Julio Cesar Chavez JR has had problems testing drugs in the past and has been suspended three times for problems with prohibited substances.
The Mexican hunter is in the spotlight again after Jake Paul agreed to fight Julio Cesar Chavez JR in his next boxing match.
He was the second choice after Paul's fight with Canelo Alvarez fell through it, but looks back at his best for the game on June 28.
His recent return to public consciousness, however, brings back memories of the three times that Chavez JR was suspended for doping violations during his career.

Julio Cesar Chavez JR was suspended for 7 months for testing positive for Furosemide
Chavez Jr defeated Troy Rowland through a unanimous decision about the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto Fight, but the impressive victory was not long.
The victory was turned off and turned into a no-contest after the Mexican hunter had failed a drug test. He popped for Furosemide, a forbidden diuretic.
Chavez Jr had difficulty making weight for different attacks and would have used it to help him get the limit of 160 pounds for fighting in the middleweight.
In addition to the combat result that was changed, the Nevada committee granted him a 7 -month suspension to go with a fine of $ 10,000.
Usually that would be enough to take care of someone again to test it positively on forbidden substances. However…
In 2012, Julio Cesar Chavez JR received a fine of $ 900,000 and suspended for the use of marijuana
The second suspension of Chavez JR was much larger than the first and included an astronomically large fine for the former world champion to contend.
After the legendary final round fight by Chavez JR with Sergio Martinez in September 2012, he again tested on a drug test – this time for Marijuana.
Because Marijuana not only prohibited, but also illegally, the boxer was confronted with a major punishment for violating the rules.
His fine was increased by almost 9000%because he was forced to pay a fine of $ 900,000, although that figure was later reduced to a more manageable fee.
However, the suspension of nine months with which he was beaten was maintained, which enormously influenced Chavez JR's career.
After refusing a drug test, Nevada and Arizona Julio Cesar Chavez JR suspended from boxing for an indefinite period of time
His third and so far the final suspension did not come from the failure of a drug test, but refused to take one!
Two months before his planned fight with Daniel Jacobs in 2019, Chavez JR failed to take a drug test when it was visited by a representative of the voluntary anti-doping association in his house.
He said to ESPN: “The anti-doping man came here (to the gym) angry here. He showed no references as they should do.
“Every day I can do the test if they guarantee that it is the same way as for Jacobs. I don't understand because I have nothing officially for the fight.”
De Jager was eventually recovered after he had handed over an indefinite suspension by the committee, although he would have desired that he had not done that.
In one of his most embarrassing losses, Chavez jr stopped after five rounds of Jobs, while fans almost riots after a disappointing version of the Mexican hunter.
