Jurrien Timber issues three-word rallying cry to his Arsenal team-mates ahead of their Champions League return at PSV

Jurrien Timber has called on his Arsenal side to 'change the story' around their weakened front line with a convincing victory against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday.

The Gunners have had to deal with criticism after a real struggle to score goals after injuries to Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.

The North London club could not score in their last two games and played defensive midfielder Mikel Merino in advance due to a lack of options.

They come up against a Dutch team that scored an impressive 73 goals in 24 Eredivisie matches -that is 22 more goals than Arsenal has set in their 27 Premier League matches.

“I think the motivation is there,” Timber said.

“Tomorrow is a wonderful game and a chance to change and win the story.”

He added: “(it's) about winning the game. We have to score tomorrow, we have to win games.

“In the Champions League you only have two games, so you don't get a second chances and that will be the case for tomorrow.”

Hout was full of praise for teen Ethan Nwaneri, who regularly became a first team after a wave of injuries on the front line.

The 17-year-old was on the couch when Arsenal traveled to Eindhoven for a Dead-Rubber Champions League group match against PSV last season that ended 1-1 in December.

“I think it's great to see, great to be part of it,” Timber said.

'I can't wait (to see) what the future entails for him. Hopefully he can also show a little magic tomorrow. '
