Justin Gaethje claims the UFC is using him as he turns down mega fight… ‘They don’t need me anymore’

Former UFC -Interim -light weight champion Justin Gaethje is quite furious about the way he is currently being treated by the promotion.

Last month UFC fans were hit with some shock news when the manager of Justin Gaethje claimed that Gaethje is retiring after being chased for the vacant lightweight title fight on UFC 317.

The Fan's favorite apparently assumed that if he did not get a title shot in his next fight, he withdraws from the sport, and things got worse when Ilia Topuria began to sniff him as his next opponent.

Not only that, but UFC boss Dana White did not respond well to the comments of 'the highlight' and told him that he should retire after his 'crazy' statement.

Justin Gaethje claims that he is used by the UFC if he rejects the candidate fight

Unfortunately, the relationship between the 36-year-old and the UFC seems to get worse and worse and the former interim light weight has recently claimed that it is being used by the UFC.

After his victory over Rafael Fiziev over UFC 313 and the victory of Paddy Pimblett on Michael Chandler on UFC 314, fans started calling for a fight between the two, to determine who will fight for the next title.

Nevertheless, 'the highlight' has absolutely no interest in fighting paddy Pimblett and has rejected the possible number one contender fight.

“No absolutely not (I will not fight against Pimblett), if that is the route they want me to take, I don't believe they need me more and I know that small or whatever, but I am number three (in the ranking), I am 3-1 in my last four fights,” Gaethje told ESPN MMA.

“The champion (Islam Makhachev) called to fight against me, he leaves, they bring a new man and give a 2-2 fight, so if their maths tell them to just use me until I am defeated, I really have to evaluate what I do here because I have registered for an approval system.

“I thought it was 100% merit, but it is not 100% at all,” Gaethje went on.

Justin Gaethje explains his perfect scenario

Although at the moment it seems as if he has a number of ways before he gets a title shot because of his recent comments, the 36-year-old has drawn up his perfect scenario for the rest of his career.

“Best Case Scenario … If this happens, I will believe it is a simulation, but I defend Topuria at the end of this year, I defend it against (Max) Holloway on the lawn of the White House and retire with the BMF and the championship belt,” Gaethje described.

At this point it is unclear who will choose the UFC as the first lightweight defending defense of Ilia Topuria, and after the victory of Max Holloway over Dustin Poirier over UFC 318, it may be at the top of the list.
