Justin Gaethje drops retirement hint days out from his comeback at UFC 313

The excitement level for UFC 313 is now only one sleep at its peak with the Blockbuster event.

Last Thursday, the UFC 313 Pre-Fight Press Conference took place with Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev for the first time for the first time for their main event on Saturday evening.

Also on stage, Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev was prior to their sensational co-limain event, which was compiled at late notification after Hooker then withdrew from his fight against Gaethje.

Gaethje and Fiziev shared a hilarious interaction on stage because they were asked their opinion about 'the highlight' as the underdog that was on their way in their fight.

Justin Gaethje falls with pensionhint while signing UFC 313 posters

Gaethje has not fought anymore since his devastating Ko loss for Max Holloway on UFC 300 last April, but for this fight he stated that he still wants a run to the lightweight title.

Although he is generally considered to be one of the most exciting hunters ever stepping into the Octagon, Gaethje believes that he has been 'too safe' in his recent fights and wants to return to his old style prior to the UFC.

If he actually scores an emphatic victory over Fiziev, Gaethje could join Donald Cerrone in an exclusive club of earning $ 1 million in bonuses after the fight.

Only a few days from his comeback fight, the 36-year-old, however, dropped a hint on his retirement while signing UFC 313 posters.

“Yes, I have a place for two more (posters), right above the couch,” said Gaethje during an episode of UFC Embedded.

“It is amazing that I made it on so many posters, this is probably when the tenth I have had,” he continued.

Gaethje hopeful to earn another lightweight title shot before retirement

At the age of 36 and with the kilometers he has on the clock, it is fair to say that Gaethje controls the time of his life.

And with that the former interim light weight champion gave insight into his life out of fighting, claiming that someone else would 'not love my life'.

However, before 'the highlight' hangs his gloves, he is hopeful to at least earn an undisputed lightweight title fight and he believes that with a victory over Fiziev, he could challenge the Makhachev next to Islam.

Makhachev has stated that he wants to fight against Gaethje instead of a potential super fight against Ilia Topuria, but Topuria recently teased in a huge news, which might hint on a lightweight title fight.

Only the time will tell if Gaethje will fight again for the undisputed title before he bends out of his incredible career in the UFC, but a victory at UFC 313 will certainly bring him to the conversation.
