It was a brutal start for life in the UFC for Aaron Pico, but he has the support of some big names in the promotion.
Pico entered the Octagon on UFC 319 last Saturday evening looking for an immediate impact on MMA's largest stage.
To secure a quick title shot, the ex-caller wanted to be striking the first man to defeat Lerone Murphy in the Co-Main event of the pay-per-view. Instead, however, Pico was malignant eliminated by Murphy's turning elbow in the first round.
The 28-year-old was undoubtedly destroyed after he has fallen on debut on such a brutal fate, but he has no shortage of support in the aftermath.
Justin Gaethje sends encouraging message to Aaron Pico na UFC 319
The result in the United Center of Chicago did not see Pico being able to go better than other former Bellator stars who became members of the UFC but lost in their first fights, such as Patricio Pitbull and Fragmentary Mix.
Just like the Brazilian legend, the American will want to jump back into his second fight, and UFC lightweight Star Justin Gaethje is apparently confidence in his ability to do this.
After Pico had issued his first statement about UFC 319 and his debut setback, Gaethje appeared in the commentary section to send a supporting message to his pear.
'The highlight' insisted that Pico is one of the best in the world on £ 145, and the UFC 319 knockout did nothing to change that in his eyes.
“Crazy game. You one of the best in the world, I don't doubt a second,” wrote Gaethje.
Justin Gaethje is not the only prominent supporter of Aaron Pico na UFC 319
Gaethje was not alone with his support from the former caller candidate after UFC 319.
Pico also received a message from Islam Makhachev, who left encouraging words in the commentary part in addition to 'the highlight' and a number of other remarkable MMA figures.
“Head up Champ,” wrote Makhachev.
“See you soon, champion,” noted UFC Play-by-Play commentator Jon Anik on.
“Head Up Champ !! Enthusiastic for the next one,” posted ex-FUC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt.
“Nothing changed my brother. I love you,” wrote the manager of Pico, Ali Abdelaziz.
The will of Gable Steveson, Payton Talbott, Joel Alvarez and Michelle Waterson-Gomez also belonged to those who sent supporting messages.
