Justin Gaethje's Vechtweek did not start well because he had to dig into his pockets to pay his coach for a bet they have made.
On Saturday at UFC 313, Justin Gaethje finally returns to the Octagon for the first time since last April when he was eliminated by Max Holloway.
After taking some time to consider what he wants to fight at this point in his career, 'the highlight' decided that he wants to run at least one to the title.
That was planned to start with a fight against Dan hooker next Saturday, but unfortunately Hooker took a little more than a week out of the fight.
Fortunately for the fan base, former enemy, Rafael Fiziev came in in the short term and the two were set for an epic rematch of their war in 2023.

Justin Gaethje loses $ 1000 bet with his coach for UFC 313 Fight
Gaethje's fighting week was not as well as possible because he finds $ 1000 lower after he and his coach, Lucas Caudillo, have made a bet prior to the UFC 313 Fight Week.
“Six weeks ago we made a bet and I told him it is $ 1000 if he can reach 200 (LBS),” Gaethje told UFC Embedded.
Caudillo first weighed in 201lbs before he quickly dived into the ice bath to throw the last LB to earn his $ 1000.
“He really wants this money, his wife must have removed his allowance. I am officially $ 1000 cheaper, “said Gaethje hilarious.
Of course, $ 1000 will not dent too much of the peak of the peak, and with an emphatic victory this Saturday the Arizonan can add to his $ 900,000 earned in bonuses after the fight.
Can Justin Gaethje earn the next lightweight title shot?
The top of the lightweight division is currently relative in the air and there is no clear next challenger for Islam Makhachev.
The promotion may intend to set up a fight between Ilia Topuria and Makhachev, after Topuria recently left his featherweight title, but Makhachev and his team are not like that fight.
And with both Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira who probably need a different victory before they are considered for a title shot, it may leave the door open for Gaethje to slide into it.
