In anticipation of his rematch against Fiziev, the 36-year-old has thought about his last few versions and Gaethje believes that he has been 'too safe'.

That reflection came as a surprise for the UFC fan base, given that 'the highlight' is generally considered one of, if not the most exciting hunter ever stepping into the Octagon.

'Attaman' Fiziev has not been in action since September 2023 when he fought against colleague administration, Mateusz Gamrot and unfortunately a brutal knee injury that kept him out of operation.

Although he has not fought since 2023, the Azeri comes to UFC 313 as a favorite in the lightweight matchup.

During the press conference before the fight last Thursday, Gaethje and Fiziev had a hilarious interaction with regard to the combat opportunities.

“I am shocked, to be honest, I lost twice (I am coming back) after an injury, for a long time without a fight and I am still favorite, okay, I will do my best,” Fiziev said at the press.

“Ahhhh,” Fiziev responded hilarious.

Justin Gaethje can participate in exclusive $ 1 million club with UFC 313 win

Gaethje is about to have an enormous achievement in his career and with an emphatic victory over Fiziev, 'the highlight' can reach $ 1 million in bonuses after the fight.

The only hunter who has achieved that performance so far is Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone. Gaethje is currently at $ 900k of bonuses after the fight, with 13 bonuses of 13 UFC fights.

Nevertheless, the most important thing that Gaethje hopes to earn with a victory over UFC 313 is a title shot against Islam Makhachev.

Makhachev recently admitted that he wants to fight against Gaethje in contrast to potential fighting against featherweightwoman, Ilia Topuria, who recently left his title.

Last Thursday, however, Topuria soon teased with a huge news, the majority of fans think it will be a lightweight title fight.
