Match report

The result saw both teams miss the chance to close the gap on the top four in Serie A, leaving them on 32 points, while Fiorentina remained fifth, one place ahead of Juventus.

Khephren Thuram scored his first Serie A goal for Juventus to put his side ahead in the 20th minute, capping an impressive solo run with a fine finish past David de Gea.

But parity was restored shortly afterwards when former Juventus striker Moise Kean put a header into the net for his 11th goal of the season for Raffaele Palladino's side.

Thuram restored the hosts' advantage shortly after half-time, scoring into the bottom corner from close range as Juventus were on course for an important win.

However, Sottil got a share of the spoils late on when the ball broke kindly to him in the area and fired a fierce effort at Michele Di Gregorio's near post.

Data debrief: Another draw for Juve in 2024

While Juventus maintained their unbeaten start to the Serie A season, the number of draws this season has significantly hampered their Scudetto chances this season.

Thiago Motta's side have drawn 11 of their 18 games in Serie A this season, a record number of stalemates in Europe's top five leagues, as well as a record number of draws for Juventus at this stage of the season.

In 2024, they played 21 matches in Serie A. In the history of the competition, only Perugia recorded more draws in a single calendar year in 1979 (22).

It was also an impressive return to Turin for Kean on Sunday. He is the second Italian player to surpass ten season goals with Fiorentina (11) in the last 10 Serie A seasons (since 2015/16), after Federico Bernardeschi (11 in 2016/17).
