“Jonathan David is officially a Juventus player. The Canadian striker signed a five-year contract until 30 June 2030,” said the Serie A Club.
David scored 109 goals in 232 games during his five -year spell with Ligue 1 Lille.
He shone to Lille on the European stage last season and scored the only goal in the 1-0 win over Real Madrid, and a two-year-old victory over Real's City Rivals Atletico.
With a reputation as a reliable striker, he finished fourth in the score lists of Ligue 1 in the past term, second the season for and third in 2022/23.
David is the first new face since the Frenchman Damien Comolli took over the general manager from Juve last month.
David, who helped Lille to be crowned French champions in 2021, joins a club that has won only one trophy, since 2021 last year last year, and that ended a disappointing fourth in the Serie A last season.
Their coach Thiago Motta was fired in March after only eight months in the post.
Juve, currently managed by Igor Tudor, is reportedly hunting for Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian who has replaced David in Lille.
Osimhen was lent last season by the Italian champions Napoli on the Turkish side Galatasaray. They have placed a price tag of 70 million euros (£ 60.41 million) on the player.
Local media suggest that Juve is also looking at the English international Jadon Sancho of Manchester United.
