Motta was rejected on Sunday evening and replaced by Igor Tudor.
Bremer now recovers from an ACL injury and told Sky Italia: “I'm sorry for Thiago Motta, he was a good coach for me.
“He could have done great things, unfortunately this is the way it went, and it's sad.”
The Brazilian also said: “I spoke with Tudor today, I am happy with what he said. He asked how I was, I said it was still early, but I am here to encourage the team and hopefully celebrate the Champions League qualification with them.”
In his hope for a playing yield this season, Bremer added: “I had no setbacks, there is still a while to go and I would like to play immediately, but we have to wait. I might be part of the Club World Cup team, but not to start competitions.”
