Juventus great Buffon: Motta needs time; Allegri comparison unfair

Motta has had an inconsistent start at Juve.

But Buffon told La Stampa: “Enough with the comparisons between Motta and Allegri, it goes too far. They have won a lot, Thiago is just starting. Anyone who compares them is driven by the desire to upset the club.

“I have a lot of respect for Thiago and a lot of confidence in what he is building.

“When you change things so deeply, it takes time. Motta is meticulous and well prepared, used to certain levels as a coach.”
