MANCHESTER UNITED have been offered Dusan Vlahovic in a shock swap deal involving Joshua Zirkzee, according to reports.
Juventus are interested in the Dutchman, who has had a difficult first six months at Old Trafford following his £36.5 million move from Bologna.
talkSPORT reports that an immediate return to Italy this month is now on the cards for Zirkzee.
Juventus hopes to land him and is willing to send Vlahovic in the other direction.
The Serbian striker only has eighteen months left on his contract.
Reports in Italy claim that there have been talks about an extension, but they are no closer to an agreement.
Juventus do not want to lose the 24-year-old for free and are looking for “creative ways to profit” from his departure.
Vlahovic, who joined the Old Lady from Fiorentina in 2022 for £67 million, has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season.
Meanwhile, Zirkzee found the back of the net just four times.
But the 23-year-old impressed last season under Thiago Motta at Bologna, who is now boss of Juventus.
It is believed the manager is pushing for them to reunite in Turin.
Vlahovic has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and was previously close to a move to Arsenal, with Chelsea also said to be admirers.
As for Zirkzee, his nightmare at Man Utd saw him cheered sarcastically when he came on in the 33rd minute against Newcastle.
He walked straight down the tunnel before returning to the bank.
Gary Neville said: “I actually feel sorry for him, I really do.
“I know he makes a lot of money but there is a human being in there who is actually being cheered on by his home fans and that is cruel.
“We haven't seen that very often at Old Trafford. I've been coming here for 43 years.”
However, fans did sing his name during the 2-2 draw against Liverpool yesterday.
