The feud between UFC Welterweight title holders Kamaru Usman and Belal Muhammad is running.
Kamaru Usman has not fought anymore since a short-notice middleweight loss for Khamzat Chimaev on UFC 294. But despite his almost two-year interruption of the competition, Usman remains at the top of the current UFC Welterweight title holder.
Usman has lost three consecutive fights after he is one of the best pound-for-pound hunters in the world and a dominant rule for welterweight. But after two losses for Leon Edwards and a short-notice-defeat against Chimaev, the state of Usman's fighting career remains uncertain.
The absence of Usman has led to various prominent welter weights calling him in attempts to lure him back to the cage. This includes Ian Machado Garry, Jack della Maddalena and Joaquin Buckley.

Belal Muhammad compares the UFC -Hiatus of Kamaru Usman with Conor McGregor's absence
Usman continues to play the long game when plotting his UFC Comback. Although he might be able to return to the end of the year, it is not a certain proposition.
In the middle of the absence of Usman, various top names have risen to the forefront of the Welterweight division, including the current champion. Speculation around Usman's Fighting Future has been raised, so that some people question a comeback.
During a recent interview with MMA Junkie, UFC champion Welterweight Belal Muhammad gave a less than the Conducting Assessment of the State of Ushman's career.
“He has had more than two years off. He is now a podcaster. He just loves talking,” said Muhammad about Usman. “I think he looks a bit like a McGregor where he is missing. He wants to remain relevant, so when a big name or a big fight appears, he will say something and he will give thoughts, or he will post a photo with 'stylebender' (Israel Adesanya) in the gym just to get something – is he?”
“At the end of the day there are many hungry guys – guys who really want it – and there are guys who are now there who have earned and earned.”
This is far from the first time that Mohammed Usman has mocked the media. After Usman publicly begged Mohammed to accept a potential confrontation with one of his teammates, Muhammad smoked back with Usman to 'end his losing streak'.
Usman compared Muhammad's Trash Talk with his dual enemy Colby Covington, who attacked his family and made various personal shots in the run -up to their fights. But Muhammad has not crossed the line in the pre-fighting structure to his upcoming first defending defense.
Belal Muhammad can meet his teammate with a victory over UFC 315
When Muhammad passes Maddalena next month on UFC 315, a potential super fight can be in the mix with a victory. UFC lightweight Islam Makhachev is said to go to Welterweight soon, making a potential confrontation with Mohammed possible.
But an important obstacle in making a fight between Mohammed and Makhachev is Khabib Nurmagomedov, who coached both hunters during their climbs to championships. Nurmagomedov said that his 'Hart is not good' with the two teammates who collide in the Achthoek.
Mohammed could possibly go to middleweight if Makhachev goes up to fight his belt. In recent months he has been reflected with people as middle weights Drus du Plessis and Sean Strickland.
