Kamaru Usman believes that 'Magic' played a role at the end of his legendary title run of Welterweight.
'The Nigerian nightmare' seemed to cruise in August 2022 to a decision victory on Leon Edwards on UFC 278.
'Rocky', however, decorated a photo-perfect main kick to turn it cold in the last minute of round five.
Since then, Kamaru Usman has been eliminated by Edwards, who proved that his victory was not a coincidence during their title fight Rematch. But a few years later, the former 170 pound Koning suggested that something supernatural has ended his reign.

Kamaru Usman responds to Leon Edwards losing again
Edwards lost the title of Welterweight in his second defense against Belal Muhammad last July.
The 33-year-old was easily surpassed in five rounds for his own fans at UFC 304.
On Saturday evening the same happened again when he tried to bounce back in UFC London.
Sean Brady dominated Edwards on the floor before he closed the show with a followed choke in round four.
Usman used the word 'magic' to describe how Edwards defeated him at UFC 278 before he explained that his old rival had not tackled the gaps in his game after he became champion.
“If you become a champion by a form of magic or whatever, you start to feel yourself,” said Usman on the poundcast of Pound 4 pounds that he shares with former Dual-Weight UFC champion Henry Cejudo.
'You start to feel like:' Yo, I have the sauce. I'm that guy now. I am the best '.
“But you still have holes in your game that need to be corrected. If you don't take the time to really work on it, to improve that game, or at least clean [areas] Up, you will not stay there very, very long.
“You saw it with Sean Strickland on the middleweight.”

Usman has not fought anymore since he had a third consecutive defeat against Khamzat Chimaev on UFC 294 in October 2023.
Yet he is ready and willing to have an octagon return against one of the best good weights in the world.
Usman says that the large UFC London winner at the top of his preferred disorders stands for a UFC Combackback fight.
“If you look at styles and the way fighting, myself and Colby Covington, what did everyone say, what did everyone say?” Oh, they are both wrestlers. They are both economic hunters. ” And you saw what that turned out to be, “said Usman.
“Okay, we cancel each other, we are not even going to try to struggle, let's pop it.
“Hey, this has the potential to be one of those fights. I love Sean Brady. I love the way he is approaching the game, and of course he is now training with Din Thomas, so that adds an extra element to the game. I like both, but I want to keep that line beating all Din Thomas' guys.
“I have shown at least three of his boys, so I want to maintain that line, but I like that matchup.”
