The pair of goodweight Titans had two epic encounters, with 'the Nigerian nightmare' that stopped his rival and a decision victory in the second.
Their feud is fed by a mutual aversion, even more than a desire to prove who the better hunter is.
Therefore, when Usman saw the American in public, he could not resist confronting him face-to-face.

Kamaru Usman just had a friendly interaction with Alex Pereira prior to UFC 313, in which the couple arranged their differences.
With that in mind it is clear that the hunter is able to bury the ax. On paper, however, this would have been much harder with Colby Covington than with 'Patan', because the icons do not like nothing but not fun towards each other.
However, that is almost what happened when Usman lured 'chaos' in an ambush, with the willingness to throw it there and then, until his brusher surprised him by being really pleasant.
