Harry Kane feels as if he is “obviously considered” as a goal scorer and has the feeling that he has a real chance to win the next balloon d'Or.
The striker is the leading scorer of England of all time with 69 goals, a count to which he will add to the qualifications of the World Cup of the Three Lions against Albania and Latvia in the following week.
In general, he yielded 441 goals for Club and Land in his career, although he has criticized some in the German media, despite the fact that they have received 76 goals in 82 performances in all competitions for Bayern Munich.
This season he scored 21 times in 24 Bundesliga performances to help Bayern to stretch their lead at the top of the table to six points, while he also helped them reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
Kane acknowledged that his consistency can work against him, because he is expected to score in certain competitions, especially when it comes to the national side.
“It's like when [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi threw these crazy songs there and the next season they score 40 goals instead of 50. It was as if they had a bad season, “said Kane.
“People consider it a matter of course and perhaps a bit with England. I scored 69 goals and when you score against Albania or Latvia, or these teams, people just expect it, so there is no mention of it.
“If I was 25 now and doing what I do, the excitement around me might be a little different than what it is now. That belongs to where we are with football. I have seen it with a number of other players when they come to their thirty.
“Maybe people are just a bit bored about what you are doing, but I am certainly not bored. I am enthusiastic about these games and the games that lie in front of us.”
Kane urges to add more to his count this season, because he wants to win the first trophy of his career.
However, he also has his eyes on an individual prize because he believes that his transfer from Tottenham to Bayern in 2023 can open the door for him to win the Ballon d'Or.
Michael Owen was the last English player to get hold of the award in 2001, but Kane thinks the chance is to take.
“In a club like Bayern Munich alone, I helped me to have more responsible and responsible,” he added.
“I feel that I am certainly better, I am improved, and maybe the 'aura' of mine as a player is a little more respected than what it has been in the past because you play in big games, big nights.
“I felt that I also scored more than 40 goals last season, but of course I would never win the balloon because we didn't win the team trophies.
“There are opportunities. That is probably what I mean to be respected more worldwide on the larger stage.
“For something like that, you have to win enough team trophies to be considered in it and probably score 40-way goals, but that is a possibility this season.
“That is definitely something that I would like to achieve.”
