Liverpool was associated with Harry Kane last month, while the striker of Bayern Munich continues to hit the goals and this season wants to win the Treble with the German giants
England -captain Harry Kane has closed rumors that he will return to the Premier League this summer. Kane, 31, was recently associated with a shock movement to Liverpool, but insists that he is 'extremely happy' with the German heavyweights Bayern Munich.
The former striker of Tottenham finally left England in August 2023 after years of transfer speculation. Bayern paid Spurs a first £ 82 million for Kane, who was nothing less than a sensation in the Bundesliga.
Despite the fact that he could not lead Bayern to a trophy last season, their worst campaign since 2011-12 scored a stunning 44 goals in 45 games in all competitions. After he had helped England to reach the final of last season's European Championship, he has retained that form this season with another 33 strikes in 38 performances such as Bayern for the Trible.
Kane's contract is two more and a half years valid June 2027-but speculation is stimulated during a return to the Premier League. Last month it was reported that champions prefer Liverpool were interested in signing him, but the 31-year-old cast cold water on those claims.
When asked if he would consider one day to return to England one day, Kane said to ESPN: “I don't know for sure. I said my whole career, I am not someone who likes to think too far ahead.
“I am very happy here. I think we have a fantastic team, fantastic coaching staff and I just have the feeling that I have the feeling that I am in the best, I want to play at the highest possible level, and this is as high as it becomes,
“So I know that a lot can change in football in a short time and things can happen, but in the end my focus is here. I don't think about another competition or another team. And with football I just want to go the power and at the moment the electricity here is in Bayern Munich.”
Kane, whose family came to him in Germany in January 2024, recently said that the 'Aura' of playing for Bayern increased his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or. He also believes that the pressure and high commitment associated with playing for Bayern have taken his game to a different level.
Should Harry Kane ever come back to the Premier League? Say in the commentary part.
“I think if you just play in the biggest games every season, year after year, I think you'll put on that stage,” Kane added. “I had moments at Spurs where we had that … We had some really great years in which we were a challenge for titles and stood in the Champions League final.
“So I had those moments at Spurs, but not on a consistent base. It was not year after year. This is my second year in Bayern and we have the chance to reach our second semifinal in the Champions League, a different title race. So yes, all those factors that come in. Bayern is seen as one of the largest clubs in the world and it is for them.”
