Kane should never have left Prem’ – Ladyman on trophy win and regrets

Harry Kane should never have left the Premier League, despite the end of his career-long hunt for a trophy with Bayern Munich, Ian Ladyman told the last episode of the post 'It's all!' Podcast.

Kane, 32, registered himself, who spent a interpretation of Queen's 'We Are The Champions' after Bayern Munich was officially crowned Bundesliga winners on Sunday.

The title medal marks the first big honor of Kane's career, where the attacker England leaves to Germany in the summer of 2023 to collect the silverware that fits his status as one of the world's best strikers.

Mail Football Editor Ian Ladyman told Manchester United correspondent Nathan Salt that despite the success of Kane in Munich, the attacker should have stayed in Tottenham Hotspur and a year later had to come to a larger English club such as 'Liverpool or Chelsea', with a free transfer.

“I still have this strange feeling about Kane and Bayern Munich,” Ladyman told the podcast.

'I am happy for him – everyone who has ever had to deal with Harry's point of view knows the type of man he is.

'I still wonder if it was the right thing that he was going there. He has his medal, but if he had stayed in Tottenham for another year, he could have let a free and had his choice from a club in Europe.

'I ask this because: Where can Kane go from here?

“Clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, or even Liverpool, would be interested in a fit and firing Harry Kane if the price was good.”

Since Bayern Munich is expected to win the German league every season, with 12 of the last 13 title winners medals that went to Bavaria, Ladyman said that Kane could have found more success in England if he had stayed.

Since he came to Bayern Munich, Kane has scored 60 goals in 61 performances, also to help his teammates with 17 assists.

Guest co-guestheer Salt did not agree with Ladyman's assessment of Kane's decision to move to Germany, instead claiming that the English attacker is in the best place to elevate the greatest honor of club football, the Champions League.

“Harry Kane would improve all sides you just mentioned,” said Salt.

'We can say what we want about the German competition, but we have seen Kane do it in the Premier League, and he is still very, very fit. He looks like he is flying through games.

'If I were Harry Kane, I would not be satisfied with winning the Bundesliga. I would have gone to Bayern and wanted to win the Champions League.

'He has the best chance of doing that, realistic in Bayern Munich. They have really good players and a monopoly on German football.

'Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal – they can easily finish fifth or sixth next season. The Premier League is ultra-competitive and you can miss the Champions League in one of those freak seasons.

“That is unlikely in Germany, so Kane is in the best place to get the two biggest prizes I think as an individual player.”
