Bayern Munich Spits Harry Kane has a release clause of eight figures in his contract, according to reports.
Kane, 31, left his boy's club Tottenham in 2023 to join the Bundesliga Giants and seemed to put an end to his chances of exceeding the Premier League record of Alan Shearer of 260 goals.
However, it has now been revealed that the transfer contained a release company within the deal that could open the door for a return to England.
As reported by Bild, the captain of England could have activated a release clause in the winter transfer window with which he would leave the club for around € 80 million (£ 67 million).
That deadline has now passed, but the release clause will be valid again next winter, and if he activated it, he could move to another club for just € 65 million (£ 54 million).
It is understanding that Kane – who was contracted as Bayern until June 2027 – is currently happy in Germany. He blooms on the field and has settled in the country with his young family.
He scored 70 goals in 72 performances for Bayern and became the fastest player to achieve 50 Bundesliga goals in November and destroyed the previous record of Erling Haaland.
He will probably show his eyes to break more records, and after he has chosen not to activate his release clause this time, it now seems almost certain that he will stay in Bayern for at least 12 months.
But a return to England could be seductive in 2026, with Shearer's Goalscores Record within reach.
Kane currently has 213 Premier League goals to his name, making it in second place 47 behind Shearer.
A transfer to the US can also appeal, where Kane makes no secret of his admiration for American sports, including NFL.
He will be 32 in July, and it is assumed that Bayern is already looking for a long -term successor if he decides to continue.
According to Bild, club heads have already held discussions about the possible pursuit of RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko or Sporting Clube de Portugal striker Viktor Gyokeres.
Both players would cost in the region of € 70 million (£ 58 million), but would demand a considerably lower wages than Kane, which currently earns around € 25 million per year (£ 21 million).
