Kane’s stance on Bayern exit as clause opens door to Premier League return

England -captain Harry Kane currently has no plans to leave Bayern Munich after it turned out that there is a release clause in his contract that he can activate.

Kane, 31, joined the German Giants Bayern in a transfer deal with a value of £ 95 million in August 2023. Since then, the striker has conquered the Bundesliga storm and scored 70 goals in 72 performances in all competitions.

This week, however, it turned out that Kane had a clause in his deal that could facilitate a return to the Premier League. It was worth £ 67 million in the winter transfer window, with the price that was expected to fall to £ 54 million in January.

According to several points of sale, however, Kane is fortunately in Germany and is not going to go back to England in the near future. The Tottenham icon signed a four-year contract with Bayern when he left Spurs, who negotiated a first refusal clause.

If Bayern agrees to sell Kane and he wanted to return to Tottenham, they would have priority over rival clubs. However, there are no fixed reimbursement within agreement, which means that Spurs would still have to activate his release clause or the amount that Bayern was offered elsewhere.

Other Premier League clubs are aware of the Kane Vrijgava clause, with Manchester United and Manchester City the two most prominent parties to show interest before his final decision to join Bayern after his record-breaking 13 years in Tottenham.
