According to a report from Téléfoot, Karim Benzema (37) tries to convince his former international teammate Paul Pogba (32) to join him in Saudi Arabia.
The former midfielder of Manchester United is allowed to resume his football career after his doping ban had been reduced from four years to 18 months. However, the World Cup winner 2018 will remain without a club after he and Juventus chose to separate due to mutual permission.
The midfielder is a free agent, but has not yet jumped into a new deal, and it is thought that he is interested in the MLS and also Japan. Olympique de Marseille reportedly considered a movement, but did not want to bring him in before the end of the season.
Allegedly they could not recover their interest if he stays on the market due to the summer window. Saudi Aarabia, however, could offer a new chance for the midfielder, with a solid French contingent at Benzema's club, including N'Golo Kanté, Moussa Diaby and manager Laurent Blanc.
Téléfoot writes that Pogba has not yet decided on his future.
