KDB ‘schedules call with former PL manager and gives his preference on new club

According to reports, Kevin De Bruyne has organized a phone call with a former Premier League manager prior to his approaching departure from Manchester City.

The Belgian star, 33, confirmed last month that after a trophy loaded decade with the Premier League giants of the Etihad, he will go.

De Bruyne, whose city contract ends on 30 June, will be available on a free transfer this summer and has therefore attracted a wealth of interest from top clubs in Europe and Saudi Aarabia.

Although the midfielder will not be shy for Vruiters, he reportedly gave all his preference to the Serie A Giants Napoli and has arranged a telephone conversation with Antonio Conte to discuss the possible movement.

According to Sky Sports in Belgium, Napoli has offered the captain of Manchester City a two -year contract with the option to expand a third season.

De Bruyne is claimed to have given all the green light to the move, but is waiting for what he is offered in terms of a salary package.

Conte, who is two games removed from supervising Napoli to another Serie A title this season, is said to talk to De Bruyne by telephone to sell the project and to outline his plans for the Belgian, he was allowed to stay in the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in the next term.

De Bruyne may not need too much convincing, because he is already in the area, because he used to get his partner Michel Lacroix in Sorrento, a town a little further along the Gulf of Naples.

According to reports, Lacroix was even spotted in the Italian city in the Italian city.

Moreover, De Bruyne's good friend and international teammate Romelu Lukaku are currently in the books in Napoli.

In addition to the leading role for the Belgian national team for several years, he and Lukaku briefly lived together in Chelsea and are part of the same Bureau-Jay-Z's ROC Nation Sports.

De Bruyne revealed his decision to leave Manchester City in an emotional letter to fans, wrote: 'Dear Manchester, given that you probably realize where this is going. So I will go there immediately and let you all know that this will be my last months as a player in Manchester City.

'Nothing of this is easy to write, but as football players we all know that this day will eventually come. That day is here and you deserve to hear from me first.

'Football led me to all of you – and to this city. Having this dream, not knowing that this period would change my life. This city. This club. These people … gave me everything. I had no choice but to give everything back! And guess what – we won everything.

'Whether we like it or not, it's time to say goodbye. Suri, Rome, Mason, Michele and I are all grateful for what this place has meant for our family. “Manchester” will forever be on the passports of our children – and more importantly, in each of our hearts.

“This will always be our home. We cannot thank the city, club, employees, teammates, friends and family enough for this 10 -year ride.

“Every story comes to an end, but this has definitely been the best chapter. Let's enjoy these last moments together! Lots of love, KDB. '

Napoli is one point on Inter Milan in the Serie A title race, with Parma and Cagliari to play before the end of the season.

If De Bruyne agrees to move to Napoli, he will leave the Premier League as one of the largest midfielders to adorn the division, who won six titles, two FA cups, four competition cups and a Champions League during his time at Etihad.
