Keane lands new job for the UEL final – but fans are all saying the same thing

Roy Keane has been appointed as an expert for CBS Sports for the Europa League final between Manchester United and Tottenham.

The old Trafford legend will join Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards and organize Anita Jones on Wednesday evening for the Crunch match.

CBS announced the crew for their Euroopa League broadcast, but the regular presenter Kate Abdo and the usual expert Thierry Henry will be absent.

And so Keane has been drawn up for what his debut will be on the American network – 23 years in his Punditry career.

The Irishman will be able to bring his expertise to have won the final of the Champions League of 1998-99 with United.

It is a night that presents an element of conflicts for Keane, 53, given that he grew up a Spurs fan.

“Only because I played for Manchester United did not mean that I was a fan of the team,” he once said.

'When I played for Rockmount, one of my teammate's fathers brought me into training and supported Tottenham. That's where it started, I liked their players, such as Glenn Hoddle and Clive Allen.

“But after I came back from the process in Nottingham Forest, Spurs offered me a test. “

He added: 'I rejected it because Forest had been good, I liked the club and felt some loyalty to them. I had a weakness for Spurs, and still. '

Don't worry if you are a normal Sky Sports viewer – it is not as if Keane is jumping permanent ship.

The former midfielder participated in a recent advertisement for the reporting of Sky Sports for the next Premier League season, which extends to 215 games on the channel.

This season he has been a vocal critic of his former club during his work with Sky.

However, supporters are concerned that the CBS panel with a former Spurs player could have done to balance it.

“Just out of curiosity (and don't blame me, but why are there no former Tottenham players/coaches who were also invited to the studio?” A fan asked for X. “Given that Roy is a man who just thought it would have been that it would have been someone from Tottenham there.”

Others were upset to see a change in the regular crew.

“They betray Kate (Abdo),” they wrote.

“I think Kate and the gang now have to cover all European competitions,” said another.

'Ah, so the people who cover it all year are not the final? WTF is this, “they said.
