Roy Keane has criticized the goalkeeper Altay Bayindir van Manchester United about his role in losing his side against Arsenal – although colleague expert Micah Richards did not share the same position.
United slipped to beat in their opening match of the season against the side of Mikel Arteta, with Ricardo Calafiori who went home the decisive goal.
The Italian defender was able to nod in after Bayindir succeeded in beating the ball, but was unable to make it convincingly free, causing questions about the order of the Turkish shot about his area.
“That is part of the work of the keeper,” Keane smoked on Sky Sports. “It was stopped stopping, but that is about the command of your area and not let your own defenders go.”
The former United Captain doubled on his criticism and added: 'Sons, when it comes to this area where it came in to force the ball, I have it. I have it. Listen, if something else happens that we respond to it, but if that comes to me, I am a favorite for it. '
“He is what, 6'2, 6'3, and he ends up on his heels. And he is being bullied. Why don't you bully the other boys? Why don't you come and go? If you come close, listen further. I also take your head off. '
Richards did not agree with the assessment of Keane and claimed that Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt could have done more to support Bayindir.
The former defender of Manchester City said: 'I mean, the conviction there is, his experience, similar situation, right? But if you look at that, who did he defend him a little more? He has Gabriel, where it was the mountain on the other side. '
He continued: 'So if you look at the balance between Saliba and Mount, he will get Ragdoll everywhere at the time.
“I just thought De Ligt could have come in and Mount could have been outside. But in terms of the goalkeeper who made that decisive decision, it was really a good blow. But if you just look here, Mount and Saliba … it's hard. '
Keane responded quickly and returned to his criticism of Bayindir: 'But look at the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is not even aware of him. Keepers on his heels and no, he starts moving. He should stand on his toes, bouncing, going. No, you come in and be a nuisance. Saliba also does very little. '
Richards shot back: “The task of that player in that role is there to protect the keeper so that he can come and hit it.”
When host David Jones asked if there was an error involved, Keane shot back with Sarcasm: “He should start chess.”
Fans noticed that Daniel Sturridge was among the couple, smiling and even smiling while Keane and Richard's fierce, clearly amused by the on-Air discussion.
One said: “Sturridge is stuck in the two Meeks and Keane,” with smiling emojis.
Another wrote: “Lmaooooo This argument between Keane and Micah.Sturridge has a good time.”
A third added: “Danny Sturridge loves this argument of Keane/ Richards.”
