Chloe Kelly says she is ready to “enjoy her football again” while she prepares to make her second Arsenal debut.
Kelly again joined her former club on a six -month loan agreement on the Deadline Day after days of speculation about her future in Manchester City in the midst of her relationship with the citizens.
The 27-year-old, who is out of contract with City at the end of the season, also went to social media days before the last-minute movement to explain her frustration about this season.
Kelly was not eligible to play against her parent club in Arsenal's last Women's Super League match, and again in the League Cup, while she was in Cup-Died last weekend for their FA Cup victory on London City Lionesses.
In the Noord -London derby against Tottenham on Sunday, she was able to perform her first performance in the WSL for Arsenal since June 2017, when she scored against Bristol City.
Should she play this weekend, 2,815 days since that match, this would be the second longest gap between two performances for the same club by an outfield player in the competition, after Toni Duggan for Everton (2,897 days).
Renee Slagers says that she is “hopeful” of Kelly's availability for Sunday, and Kelly is fierce to come back for the Arsenal fans.
“It was a difficult time for me and my family, and now I can look at the other side and move forward,” Kelly told Sky Sports.
“It wasn't great, and it wasn't a while, so I think it's important that you approach those things.
“But I am here at Arsenal, and it is a great time for me to get a smile on my face and to enjoy my football again. I am looking forward to the future.
Welcome back to the arsenal

“Enjoying your football is always important, but it is really important to view it from a human aspect. I know we are football players and I know how the game works, but you want to be happy, so it's important that I here Come and do that.
“I am here to work for six months, to do my work and get a smile on my face again. I really enjoyed working with Renee [Slegers] And the team, so let's see what the future has in store. “
Kelly dropped a lack of playing time from the newest England team of Sarina Wiegman.
The attacker only received 165 minutes of playing time in six performances by Gareth Taylor in the WSL before her move, but only one match started in the competition.
Kelly, who scored the goal that England's Euro 2022 triumph sealed at home soil, says she is ready to work hard to get back into the team, with the next European championship around the corner.
“I really had a good conversation with Sarina about that. It is clear that I have to get football under my belt, and it's really important to do that,” Kelly added.
“Sarina is a top manager and I have put so much confidence in her. She has been so successful, so I think what is best for the team is that I don't go to this camp and get that football in my legs.
“I want to be the best for England and Arsenal, so it's really important that I listen to the people around me and go ahead.
“In 2022 [after an ACL injury]At the moment I was still not even training with the team. For me it is about getting minutes under my belt and when I go on the field, show where I am again. “
