Aston Villa has held internal discussions about a possible movement for Kevin De Bruyne, understands Sky Sports News.
De Bruyne announced earlier this month that this season would be his last in the Etihad Stadium. It is the last year of his current contract and Villa could be interested in signing the 33-year-old midfielder when he leaves the city.
De Bruyne's restraint to uprooting his family and giving priority to his football and living at home when making a decision about his next destination, has warned various Premier League clubs.
Four MLS clubs, Inter Miami – that keep his exploration rights, Chicago Fire, NYCFC and DC United have inquired about the professional and financial expectations of De Bruyne.
Serie A Side Como also does checks to see if there is a possibility to land De Bruyne.
Sky Sports News has contacted Aston Villa for comment.
On April 4, it was announced that De Bruyne Man City will leave after a trophy loaded decade in the club.
The 33-year-old, who has won 16 trophies with City, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League, is without a contract in the summer. Further successes include five League Cup triumphs and two FA cups.
The Belgium International has scored 107 goals in 417 performances.
He joined the club under previous manager Manuel Pellegrini in a £ 54.5 million deal in 2015 from Wolfsburg and continued to thrive after Pep Guardiola took the lead the following year.
He has cemented his place as one of the greatest players in the history of the city and has undoubtedly been one of the most influential of the Premier League era.
