Kevin De Bruyne is linked to a blockbuster moving to Liverpool as soon as his career in Manchester City ends and it seems that he would not be against a switch to Anfield
Kevin De Bruyne was able to fulfill a children's dream with a move to Liverpool. The Belgian midfielder will leave Manchester City at the end of the season after he has not offered a new deal.
De Bruyne made no secret of his dissatisfaction because he was sidelined through the city, talked about his exit after the recent victory in Goodison Park and made it clear that he couldn't care that CEO Ferran Soriano and director of football Txiki Begiristain were in hearing distance. His future remains in the air in the midst of interest in MLS, as well as Premier League Rivals Aston Villa. Now new contenders have emerged for his signature in the last 24 hours.
According to reports in Italy, Napoli is interested in De Bruyne, while Liverpool, is said, has submitted a contract offer to seduce him to move to Anfield – although it is something that the club has played. But becoming a red would let De Bruyne come out of his youth after he regularly unveiled his affection for the club in the past.
“My favorite club is Liverpool and my favorite player is Michael Owen,” De Bruyne admitted as an 11-year-old while he with Genk. “And I would like to play there one day.”
De Bruyne doubled that attitude in 2019 after he was asked about his support for Liverpool. He said: “I was a fan of Liverpool. My family who lived in England were all supporters in Liverpool, so that was me. I loved Michael Owen because I was very small like him and also quickly. I compared myself at the time. I liked it. I liked it. [Zinedine] Zidane and Ronaldinho too – those really competent players. “
And although De Bruyne has been a long -term fan of Liverpool, it seems that one of his potential future teammates would give his approval to a move. Mohamed Salah, earlier in his career in Anfield, revealed that the Belgian belonged to one of his dream teammates.
He said: “Messi or Ronaldo, but if I have a choose in the Premier League, I would choose Kevin [De Bruyne]. He has vision, I am sure he can find me everywhere with the ball, so I would say Messi, Ronaldo and then Kevin.
“He is a great player, the whole team (city) is great. But I just try to play my game and not concentrate on someone else.”

Regardless of where his future lies, De Bruyne also admitted that he will have to hold conversations with both his past and new employers with regard to his participation in this summer's world cup. The midfielder's contract ends halfway through the tournament – and he remains no idea about whether he will play.
Asked if he is going to the club World Cup, he said: “I don't know. For me it will depend on what will happen in the future, you know, depending on which team I am going and in which competition I will play.
“Even if the new team doesn't want me to play and don't want to risk what happens. I didn't really talk to the city about it, so I don't know. If they want a conversation, we can do that. But I don't know for sure.”
